For mid level and senior, once you are in the professional world then LinkedIn can play a tremendous role, recruiters will find you and you would just focus on LinkedIn first and Resume will just be a secondary concise version of LinkedIn profile.

Talking from experience.

Hi Junaid,

I agree. But apart from filling up LinkedIn with all the details, wondering, for a mid-level/senior engineer, how much effective and necessary is it to regularly post in LinkedIn?

If regular posting is important, then what sort of contents should such mid/senior engineers post?

Great article! Very helpful guidelines for creating a Data Engineering job profile.

I would like to ask the community - what's your thought on adding in resume the career progression within the same company, example, from DE1 to DE2. Is it better to list the highest position held or list out all positions held in the company?

The title said “How to craft perfect data engineering resume…..”. Sorry but there is no D PF data in that , it’s all general and vague. Utterly unusable!

Whats "D PF" data?! Zack isnt putting out a resume that you can use for your interviews. He is talking about what works in LinkedIn profiles vs resumes. This is super helpful for a majority of his audience.

If you have a different opinion, either as a successful Data Engineer or a Hiring Manager, you should share that info, while still being polite and humble.
